the T.T.has long since been confined to "one off" specialist racing(I KNOW NW200 ETC.)?
how long before electric racing overpowers traditional (today's) racing and confines it to nostalgia?
Hey Albert.Last year i would have said a very long time.
But Im guessing you got that email about FIM e-Power and TTXGP championships for electric motorcycles at Laguna Seca. Steve Rapp qualifying only 10 seconds off lorenzo's pole time. and doing 8 lap races.
The 10 seconds is a lifetime, but that would have been a good 15 - 20 last year. they are moving very quickly with their development programme's.
Being able to do quarter race distance is impressive too.
There will always be petrol heads who will race petrol engines as long as there is oil, or any kind of synthetic substitute.
First they will have to be able to compete alongside, then Beat the conventional bikes.
as soon as that becomes a common factor - things will change very quickly.
unless someone comes up with the idea of banning them from conventional racing because they charge the atmosphere, or the cost of producing the batteries is too high.
Seriously - I think we may see them competing in superbike racing sooner than we think.
