Time Magazine project?
So, in celebration of African American History Month, my history teacher assigned this "Time Magazine" project. We have to create a Time magazine about an African American who contributed something. She said she would have it about someone thats name isn't as known as others. (e.g., Bill Cosby, Ray Charles, Jackie Robinson)
Its supposed to be from this list, which I scanned onto the pc:

Help me choose please?
I would choose Colin Powell. I read his book, My American Journey and was very impressed by him. You'll be able to find a lot about him (and he's still alive). He was 4 Star General, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff as well as Secretary of State under George W. Bush during his first term. He has also done non-profit work. http://www.whitehouse.gov/government/powell-bio.html
Also, George Washington Carver was very interesting. http://inventors.about.com/library/weekly/aa041897.htm
